Pension Office has hosted a Family Evening in B. Eydhafushi as part of the National Grandparents’ Day celebrations, bringing families and members of the community together for an enjoyable evening centered around spending quality time with grandparents.
The event featured stalls from various institutions in Eydhafushi, creating an engaging space for people of all ages to participate in activities and access useful information. The stalls provided an opportunity for visitors to interact with participating institutions, learn more about their work and services, and take part in games and activities throughout the evening.
At the Pension Office stall, activities focused on celebrating grandparents and creating meaningful moments for families to share. Children wrote heartfelt messages for their grandparents, and came together with their families at the photo station to capture special memories from the evening.
Alongside the stall activities, a variety of stage performances were held throughout the evening, contributing to the lively and celebratory atmosphere. The programme featured performances by school children, as well as traditional raivaru, lhen and farihi performances by grandparents, providing an opportunity for different generations to participate in and contribute to the celebrations.
The Family Evening was organised in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, Family and Welfare, the Local Government Authority, and B. Eydhafushi Council, reflecting a shared commitment to celebrating older generations and creating meaningful opportunities for families and communities to come together.
