The Maldives Pension Administration Office (Pension Office) hosted the ISSA Technical Seminar on Strengthening Financial Sustainability and Institutional Capacity from 6 to 7 May 2026 at Crossroads Maldives.

The seminar, organised by the International Social Security Association (ISSA), brought together ISSA member organisations and participants from across Asia and the Pacific, as well as Eurasia.

As social security systems across the region face increasing pressures from demographic ageing, evolving labour markets, and economic uncertainty, the seminar served as a platform for dialogue, knowledge sharing, and collaboration on strengthening financial sustainability and institutional resilience.

By hosting this seminar, the Pension Office reaffirmed its commitment to contributing to regional and international dialogue on strengthening social security systems, while positioning the Maldives as a venue for international collaboration and knowledge exchange.
