Pension Office has renewed its sponsorship agreement with the Maldivian Red Crescent (MRC) for the third consecutive year to support the ‘Strengthening Patient Transport Service in Male’ City Project’. The agreement, signed on 5th March 2025, underscores Pension Office’s commitment to enhancing healthcare accessibility for vulnerable communities, particularly the elderly.
Since 2023, Pension Office has supported the Project — specifically the Patient Transport Service Team component — enabling MRC to provide reliable bed-to-bed patient transport services. This initiative addresses urgent medical transfers, supports elderly patients requiring regular care, and responds to emergencies such as fires and flooding in the densely populated Greater Malé Area.
The partnership aligns with Pension Office’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Policy, which prioritizes initiatives focused on the societal well-being of the elderly and vulnerable populations. Pension Office remains dedicated to creating a sustainable social impact through continued support for initiatives that foster social security and build a safer, healthier community.
The agreement was signed by Chief Executive Officer of Pension Office, Ms. Sujatha Haleem, and Ms. Fathimath Himya, Secretary General of the Maldivian Red Crescent (MRC), during a ceremony held at Pension Office.
