Pension Office is set to conduct a series of activities in B. Eydhafushi from 1 to 2 September to celebrate National Grandparents’ Day 2026.
The celebrations will begin on 1 September with an evening tea for grandparents, providing an opportunity for the elderly and families to come together, connect and enjoy the occasion. The event will also include a light information session on key topics relevant to grandparents and families, conducted by the Pension Office and the Ministry of Health, Family and Welfare.
On 2 September, the celebrations will continue with a family evening bringing together the Pension Office, partner institutions and the Eydhafushi community. The evening will feature a variety of activities for different age groups, creating a fun and welcoming environment for grandparents, children and families to enjoy together.
Through these activities, the Pension Office aims to celebrate and recognise the important role grandparents play in building and strengthening our families, communities and nation. The celebrations will also provide a space for families to come together, spend quality time with one another and create meaningful memories across generations.
The National Grandparents’ Day activities will be conducted in collaboration with the B. Eydhafushi Council, Local Government Authority, and Ministry of Health, Family and Welfare.
