Pension Office has conducted the first session of the Women’s Financial Empowerment and Pension Readiness Program (WEPR).

Designed for women entrepreneurs and self-employed women, the first session focused on building financial awareness and strengthening pension readiness. Key topics included saving early, planning for retirement, and understanding the Maldives Retirement Pension Scheme (MRPS).

Participants also engaged in discussions on their experiences, and the systemic barriers to saving and MRPS participation.

This initiative is part of Pension Office’s ongoing efforts to support early financial planning and expand pension coverage in the Maldives.
