All applicants and proposed projects must meet the eligibility requirements set out below.

Eligible Entities

Registered local Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), and academic institutions (higher education and research institutes).
must have been in operation for a minimum of 2 years at the time of application (years are counted from the organization's registration date to the application submission date)
Applicants must be in compliance with the Pension Act.

Exclusions

Government entities, businesses, or individuals.
Projects involving international travel, scholarships, feasibility studies, or contracting of international experts
Activities unrelated to the CSR Policy’s focus areas or violating Maldivian laws.

Additional Requirements

Projects must align with the annual themes and focus areas announced in the call for proposals.
Projects must be implemented within the Maldives.
Project duration must not exceed the timeframe specified in the call for proposals (12 months from the start date).
The funding amount requested must not exceed the MVR 200,000 funding ceiling per project
Administrative costs must not exceed 15% of the total project cost.

Compliance Requirement

Applicants must be compliant with the Pension Act, including registration of eligible employees and payment of required contributions to the Maldives Retirement Pension Scheme (MRPS). The Pension Act mandates local employees between 16 and 65 years of age, as well as their employers, to participate and pay monthly pension contributions to MRPS.

Repeat Applicants

If your organization has previously received a grant from this Program, please note the following:

Applications will not be considered if the organization has a history of incomplete projects under a previous grant from this Program.
Organizations that have previously withdrawn acceptance of a grant, or failed to commence or complete a funded project without acceptable justification, will be ineligible to reapply.
